| Join Clemson Rugby |
The Clemson Rugby team is always glad to have
new members. We invite anyone to come and play the great sport of
rugby. No matter what skill level you are, whether you have played
for years, or never played at all we invite you to join the team.
Clemson University also sponsors an international exchange program
with many overseas colleges and universities. Please check the international
student web site for a listing of exchange schools.
The rugby team competes in both semesters of the school year. The
fall is preseason training and the sessions are mainly for teaching,
intoduction, and conditioning, this is a great time for players
new to the game to come out. The spring is the national competition
season, where all or most of our games are against Division 1 opponents
battling for a place in the National Sweet 16. Practice is at the
rugby field from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Monday
nights are dedicated to viewing film from the prior weekends game
or watching international matches with the team, contact a member
for more information on location. The team has many sponsors to
supply you with any of the equipment, so come as you are. Contact
someone if you need a ride.

rugby has a regulation lighted pitch that stands out as one the
top fields around. The team also supplies plenty of training equipment
to prepare the team for matches such as ruck/contact pads, tackle
bags, practice jerseys and the Predator 65 Plus scrummage trainer.
